I qualified in 1985 from St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. My General Medical and then my Haematology training were in Leeds. I carried out research in to Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria during my training. In 2003 I was appointed as a Consultant at Harrogate and, as well as being a full time Clinical Haematologist, I am now Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Lead for Pathology.
